As vets we spend much of our time trying to heal the lame, sick and injured. However a significant amount of time is also spent advising on prepurchase examinations or assisting with insurance claims. Malcolm Morley is a partner at Stable Close Equine Practice and has a particular interest in pre-purchase vettings. He holds a lead role for pre-purchase examinations on the council of the British Equine Veterinary Association council and will be speaking on the challenges of deciding whether a new horse is suitable. We are very pleased to welcome Dan Parry, director of KBIS equine insurance, who will be enlightening the audience on areas of equine insurance including potential problems and pitfalls as well as explaining the different types of cover available. Tickets will cost £2 per head but all the proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to the Society for the Protection of Animals Abroad (SPANA). The evening will begin from 6pm with light refreshments available and an informal opportunity to meet staff. The presentations will start at 6:30pm sharp. Please note the evening will be held at Itchen Abbas village hall. The village hall is very easy to find as it is on the main road in the middle of Itchen Abbas.
