From the M3

Take junction 9 off the M3 and then leave the roundabout for Newbury A34. After half a mile get in the right hand lane and join the A33 where the road forks. Once on the A33 take the first turning to the right off the A33 signed B3047 to Itchen Abbas and Alresford. Follow this road over the M3 and into Martyr Worthy. At the crossroads, with the war memorial on your right hand side, take the left turn signed Bridget’s Lane. 0.8 of a mile down the lane on the right hand side there is a farm yard. Stable Close Equine Practice is the converted barn in the centre of the yard.

From the A31

Leave the A31 onto the B3047 at the roundabout just to the west of Alresford. This is signposted to Itchen Abbas. Then very shortly take the second left still signposted Itchen Abbas B3047. Follow the road through Itchen Stoke, Itchen Abbas and into Martyr Worthy. (Note: Do not follow the sign in Itchen Abbas for the “Veterinary Centre”. This is a DEFRA laboratory.) At the crossroads, with the bus stop and war memorial on your left hand side, take the right turn signposted Bridget’s Lane. 0.8 of a mile down the lane on the right hand side there is a farm yard. Stable Close Equine Practice is the converted barn in the centre of the yard.

It is possible to get to the end of our lane by public transport on the 64 bus, although less useful for bringing your horse to us! It is a short walk up Bridgets Lane to our practice. For a bus timetable click here.
